The End

So it is all coming to a close for this summer. I met a lot of great people and learned a lot of interesting things along the way through classes, at the dig, and from the great area supervisors and assistant supervisors! It has been quite a fun time hanging out with all of these great people from around the world. We had cookouts together, resulting in delicious food, we traveled across Israel together, and we dug together. It has been an amazing learning and growing experience that can’t be matched. I mean it’s one thing to read a textbook about archaeology and a completely different thing to apply it in the field. Even though some days were slower than other we still always had fun getting to know each other better and learning more about excavating.

I do hope to come back to Megiddo next season after a full two years of recovery and rest because let me tell you waking up at 4am every morning for 3 weeks is no easy feat. It was all worth it though! Thanks for a great time everyone! I hope to be back soon!
